Peanut shaped bar-bulge obtained in N-body
                simulations

Face-on and edge-on appearance (in false colors) of peanut-shaped N-body bars.   Such structures appear spontaneously in simulations of stellar disks of galaxies, and are fairly robust.   Depending on the viewing angle such bars can be mistaken as round or boxy bulge.
