What is the narrow angle Astrometric observation PrEparation Software?

The goal of the narrow angle Astrometric observation PrEparation Software (APES) is to assist the observer during the preparation of Narrow angle astrometric observations using PRIMA and the Auxiliary Telescopes (ATs). It allows him/her to simulate the performance of the instrument for a given set of targets and reference stars. The exposure time calculator for PRIMA is integrated into APES. The output is a parameter file (PAF), containing all information to optimally set-up PRIMA. This file has to be attached in the Observation Blocks (OBs) created with P2PP.
The The Astrometric observation PrEparation Software is a Java application that can be downloaded/launched from this web-site.
