For almost two decades, I have been a complete Little British Cars buff. I restored a 1963 Austin-Healey BJ7 (groud up). I've owned a wonderful rust-free daily driver 1962 Triumph TR3B, and I have just sold my 1961 TR3A that has been my darling since 1993. My new craze is LOTUS cars, and I bought an Elan Plus2 this spring.
I do everything but the bodywork
myself. From turning and milling special
tools to stitching new upholstery from raw vinyl. I did bodywork and paint back in my grad student's days when I was doing motorcycles but I do not have the time anymore. Maybe with the Lotus, I'll start doing fiberglass work and paint.
There's a tech talks page in which I used to invest a lot of time! It is a collection of mostly Healey and Triumph TR2/3/4 related entries plus some general ones like tools, common practice, bizarre parts sources etc. Stuff you can use to keep your sports car on the road and drive it hard and fast. Of course, today, there're also the data bases on specialized forums like

http://www.team.net/archive/ (I
was quite active on the Triumph list and the Big Healey list at some
points). For those who do not know it, www.team.net is an amazing ressource for
automotive enthousiasts. From their website : "Team.Net is a [ ]
group of thousands of auto enthusiasts, [ ]. It has now grown to be the
center of grassroots automotive activity on the Net. It is the home of
many automotive Mailing Lists, Web
Pages, ftp archives, and more".
