Stephane De Barros

I am trying to do some relevant science in the field of extragalactic astrophysics, specifically studying the most distant galaxies.

I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in Prof. Pascal Oesch's group Galaxy Galaxy Build-Up At Cosmic Dawn at the Astronomy Department of the University of Geneva (Switzerland). In 2014-2016, I was an Assistant Researcher at the the Bologna Astronomical Observatory (OABO) - National Institute For Astrophysics (Italy), working with Eros Vanzella. In 2013-2014, I was a Visiting Assistant Researcher at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of UC Riverside (USA), as a Swiss National Science Foundation Fellow, collaborating with Pr. Naveen Reddy.

Before starting to move around from Europe to the US, back and forth, I have done my PhD in Switzerland at the University of Geneva, under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Schaerer.
